Sri Nagar: Two militants from Jash-e- Muhammad attacked a Police bus near the Zewan police camp, at the outskirts of Sri Nagar. In this attack, two police personnel are killed and 12 are injured. The attack occurred on the evening of December 13.
Among the fallen policeman one is the grade constable and the other is the assistant sub-inspector. The injured policemen are shited to the hospital where their condition remains critical.
The bus was attacked by two militants with open firing in the Zewan area which houses multiple police camps. The area has been cordoned and a search operation has been launched for further threats or assailants.
On December 10, there was an open fire between militants and policemen in Bandipora district, in which two policemen were killed.
Many political leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their condolence to the families of killed policemen.
This attack took place after the attack of Bandipora District in Kashmir, where two militants were killed in an open firing.
