8 NEW AC TRAINS FOR MUMBAIKARS

MUMBAI: From November 22, Western Railways will operate eight more air-conditioned services on the suburban corridor between Churchgate and Virar.

The overall number of AC services will increase from 12 to 20 with the addition of these 8 new services.

“Eight new AC services will be introduced for the convenience of commuters in the suburban section of the WR, taking the number of AC services to 20,” the official said. The officials also informed that the Western Railway is canceling two slow trains between Churchgate and Bandra.

Four of these eight services are in both the up and down directions. During peak hours, two of these services will be available, one in each direction.

At 8.33 a.m., the first service of the day will depart from Virar towards Churchgate. At 8.27 p.m., the last service departs Churchgate for Nallasopara.

“In the up direction, there are four services, one between Virar and Churchgate, two between Borivali and Churchgate, and one between Goregaon and Churchgate,” said WR’s head public relations officer Sumit Thakur. Similarly, there are four services in the down direction, one between Churchgate and Nallasopara, two between Churchgate and Borivali, and one between Churchgate and Goregaon
