INDIA SPEAKS ON THE SAFETY OF ITS CITIZENS IN UKRAINE IN UN SECURITY COUNCIL

India’s representative to UNSC TS Trimurti said that since the start of the crisis between Ukraine and Russia, India has been successful in bringing over 20 thousand citizens back to the country.

Trimurti also said “The situation is in danger of spiraling into a major unavoidable crisis. If the situation is not controlled then the security of the world may be hampered. The security of the parties should be kept in the account.”

The advisory of the embassy said on Tuesday “ In view of the continued high level of tensions and uncertainties of the current situation in Ukraine, additional flights are being organized.”

The Indian government has arranged proper evaluation flights for the returning of the citizens stuck in the crisis situation.

On Tuesday over 240 people were brought back to India and today morning over 180 more people are back from the crisis.

The situation in Ukraine is getting out of hand. Explosions were heard in the major parts of eastern Ukraine and even in the capital of the country, Kyiv. These expositions are said to be majorly targeting the military installations.
