AIRFORCE CHOPPER CRASHES IN TAMILNADU DUE TO HEAVY MIST

Wednesday: Indian Air Force helicopter crashed in the Coonoor, Tamil Nadu due to low visibility. The helicopter was carrying Cheif of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and 14 other passengers from the staff and his family members.
The Mi-Series chopper was on its way from Sulur Indian Air Force base to Dence Service College at Wellington when it crashed.

The crash happened near the Nanjappanchathiram area amid heavy mist due to heavy rain around the region.

The early pictures of the incident showed the helicopter in flames. Indian Airforce ordered an inquiry to confirm the cause of the incident.

Several government officials and citizens shared the incident details on social media.
