Uttar Pradesh: The current party in power in Uttar Pradesh, BJP releases its manifesto on Tuesday for the upcoming election polls in the state from February 10, 2022. This is the first of the seven phases voting process.
The party titled the manifesto “Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra” which promises new developments and changes in the state according to the party.
The part has added a number of new things in the documents this time around. Some of the new entries in the manifesto are Free electricity supplies to farmers for irrigation and job of self-employment purposes.
The manifesto promise a 10-year prison, and 1 lakh rupees penalty for those who follow the love jihad which takes to force women and girls to marry for religious conversion.
Some of the major points highlighted in the manifesto are.
Love Jihad
Like in 2017 the agenda on hand for the party was Ati-Romeo squads for the Sashakt Naari, Samaan Adhikar campaign. This time it is the concept of Love Jihad. This concept was first introduced in 2020 along with anti-conversion law where no one was forced to change their religion before or after marriage.
Farmers help
In the last elections, the party promised to wave off the farmer loans with zero percent interest. The party also promised the sugarcane farmers to get their payments after 14 days of the sale. In the same year, BJP had also set up 20000 crore rupees for the irrigation funds.
In 2022 the party has thought of the farmers by giving free electricity for irrigation and the same promise for the Sugarcane farmers has been presented in the new manifesto.
Women of the state
In the year 2017 BJP proposed a 50,000 rupee bond for the poor families on birth of girl child. Transfer of 3,000 to 8,000 rupees for girls till class 6, 8, 10, 12 was also promised.
Youth
This time BJP has brought something new to the table with a promise for a free scooty to college-going female students. Additional cylinders on Holi and Diwali for women, 1 lakh rupees for the poor families for the wedding of the daughter, and 1500 rupees monthly for widowed women have also been added in the manifesto.
BJP in 2017 promised the youth to provide 70 lakh jobs and self-employment opportunities in the 5 years time span along with a free laptop with one GB monthly data-free.
Now in 2022, the party has promised at least one job per family, free coaching to students for entrance exams, 2 crore smartphones and tablets, gym and sports grounds in every gram penchants, recruitment of more than 6,000 doctors and 10,000 paramedical staff have also been promised.
It is a wait what will the election result be but two big promises have done in 2017 by the party were fulfilled with supreme court judgment gives BJP the confidence to excel in the upcoming elections.
