DAWOOD MONEY LAUNDERING CASE: NAWAB MALIK APPEARS BEFORE ED

The minister of Maharashtra and senior member of the National congress party Nawab Malik on Wednesday was taken to the Enforcement Directorate regarding his connection with the money laundering case filed on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The case of money laundering came to ED recently after NIA registered the case since the ED has connected a search operation. The ED reached out to Dawood’s Mumbai residence. His sister late Haseena Parker’s house was also searched.

Dawood was booked by NIA for the money laundering case and ED booked him for Enforcement Case Information Report.

Along with Nawab, Dawood’s brother Iqbal Kaskar has been taken into custody in the same case where Kaskar is found guilty of taking extortion money from celebrities and other prominent names on Dawood’s name.

The Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that Nawab Malik has been continuously speaking against injustice and unmasking the truth. So, this has let these people followed by ED. Nawab is a cabinet minister and his being questioned by ED is a big pressure on the state of Maharashtra. Raut said I am confident that Malik will be back by the evening.

Reaching to the case former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Nawab Malik had signed a property deal with Sardar Shahwali Khan and Mohd Salim Ishaq Patel who were the main accuser of the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast. He added that the deal was the signatory by Faraz Malik, son of Nawab Malik.
