DELHI IMPOSES NIGHT CURFEW FROM TODAY

Delhi: The goverment is imposing a night curfew in Delhi from today. The curfew is reinforced in the view of Raising COVID cases and increasing cases of the new variant Omicron. The curfew is under the four staged Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). The GRAP is being put in place where the positivity rate is 0.5% for consecutive two days.

Under the GRAP, a Yello alert is issued when the COVID positive cases will settle at a 0.5% rate for consecutive two days. The curfew starts at 11 p.m. and stays till 5 a.m.

Red curfew includes a semi-seating capacity of the metro, schooled and offices closed, and the curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. If the situation will require Red Alert then there will be a complete curfew.

Restrictions under Yello Alert in Delhi

  • Shops and malls including all non-essentail stores stays open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • In weekely market, only 50 percent vendors will be allowed.
  • 50 perecnt of government empolyees will be allowed in offices other than a few departments.
  • Privat company’s can work in 50 percent capacity.
  • Bars can remai open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. with 50% capacity.
  • Marriages and funeral with 20% attendance.
  • Banquet halls, cinema halls, outdoor activities, amusment parks, stadiums, gyms and public pliaces remains closed.
  • Religios places will remain opeb but will not be allowed to visit.
  • Parks and gardens will remain open.

Other than Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Haryana are also imposing curfews.
