New Delhi: A day after the alliance announcement of BJP, several new members joined the party among which ex-Indian cricketer Dinesh Mongia joined the party. Other new members are Former Punjab CM Amrinder Singh, Suckdev Dhindsa, and other prominent faces from the state who joined the party.
The Congress legislators who joined BJP are Fateh Singh and Bajwa MLA from Qadian, Pratap Singh Bajwa, and Balwinder Singh Laddi sitting MLAs from Harigobindpur.
Two MLAs joined the BJP after Congress MLA Rana Gurmit S Sondhi joined BJP.
Many found it intriguing that former Congress leaders joined BJP rather than Amrinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress.
