Both the phones come with the Tensor chip that is developed by google over years to give better AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning) results. Both the phones run on Android 12 and are water and dust-resistant
After the launch, Google has confirmed that the Pixel 6 series will not launch in India. At the beginning of the year, Google announced that the Pixel 6 series will be launched in eight regions initially.
WHY INDIA IS NOT ON THE LIST?
This is not the first time Google erased India from its launch list. Only the Pixel 4a was launched from the Pixel 4 series. No other Pixel mobile was launched in India.
Google flagship Pixel sells premium range products. The price of Pixel 4a is 25,999 INR.
This is the starting price of the Pixel phones in India. While 90% of India’s smartphone market is 20,000 INR. Experts say that it is structured differently than any other market of this size.
Research Director at IDC India Navkendar Singh told 91mobiles that it is tough to compete with Apple and Samsung in the premium end of the Indian market.
“Due to a variety of factors including global demand-supply issues, we are not able to make our product available in all the markets, We remain committed to our current Pixel phones and look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to more countries,” said Google spokesperson through an email interview to NDTV Gadget 360.
The eight regions where the Google Pixel 6 series will be launched are the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, UK, France, and Taiwan.
