Jammu & Kashmir: Late Thursday, Indian Army officials killed a terrorist in the Bhimber Gali area of Poonch while foiling an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control.
The terrorist’s weapons and ammo were also recovered.
The operation is still ongoing, so further information is pending.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir police commissioner Dilbag Singh said the search and search operation in the Poonch district is still underway since security forces fear terrorists are present in the Bhatta Durrian jungles, where nine troops were killed in October.
Pakistan is attempting to expand terrorist infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir, but the majority of these attempts are being foiled, according to Dilbag Singh of the news agency PTI.
“Bhatta Durrian combing and search operation has been going on for quite some time. The operation is still on,” Dilbag Singh said.
“After infiltration in that area, we suspect the presence of some terrorists there. The operation continues and our troops who are deployed there will be able to account for that,” Dilbag Singh said
