NASA Parker Solar Probe reaches the atmosphere of the sun for the very first time in human history. The probe entered the outer layer of the sun’s outer atmosphere called the corona, the probe successfully sampled magnetic fields and particles.

The probe reached the atmosphere in April, the data received now confirms this news. The spacecraft was launched three years ago. Its speed is 500,000 km/h. The probe is packed in a very strong heat shield. The strategy is to go quickly and come out quickly to avoid the maximum damage.

The data received from the probe suggests that it passed below and above the boundary three separate times in five hours. The researchers will try to gather more data from the probe with time. It is expected to go into 7 million km in the photosphere by 2025.

Nasa is calling it a milestone moment in science. The probe passed intense conditions to reach the atmosphere.
