PM Modi condemns Manipur terror attack

PM Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the attack on Assam Rifles to convey in Manipur and said that the sacrifice will never be forgotten. 

Strongly condemn the attack on the Assam Rifles convoy in Manipur. I pay homage to those soldiers and family members who have been martyred today. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten,” PM Modi wrote on Twitter.

“My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of sadness,” he added.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh expressed anguish over the convoy attack and affirmed that the perpetrators will be brought to justice soon.

“The cowardly attack on an Assam Rifles convoy in Churachandpur, Manipur is extremely painful and condemnable. The nation has lost five brave soldiers including CO 46 AR and two family members. My condolences to the bereaved families,” Rajnath Singh

Commanding officer Colonel Viplav Tripathi of 46 Assam Rifle his wife and son and four paramilitary force personnel were on Saturday killed after terrorists ambushed their convoy in Manipur’s Churachandpur district.
