Amid the violent protest going on in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the incident of putting four empty couches to fire in Gaya has prompted the Ministry of railways on Wednesday to stop the recruitment drive for a while.
After the outbreak of the protest that is going on for the past three days, the Railway announced a high-level committee headed by Deepak Peter Gabriel, principal executive director of industrial relations in the railway ministry.
The decision came into being after the national transporter the aspirants of the job that if is involved in an invalid and unlawful activity during the protest will be liable for police action as well a lifetime ban from any railways job.
The decision was taken after seeing the situation in Bihar which is worsening day by day and it was reaching other parts of the country. One of the senior officials added that the protestors are mobilizing their agenda through different social media platforms.
When asked about the same by Railway minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw he had altogether another taken on the situation. Vaishnav stressed that the recruitment and employment notification is a legal matter. If anyone has any issue regarding the same then we will have to come up with a solution and deal with the matter with sensitivity, he added.
During the protest, the matter has gone out of hand after the protest that has started in Prayagraj on Tuesday. It has raised concerns politically for the election bearing state of Uttar Pradesh.
It will be interesting to see what turn of events will the decision and protest cause in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
