Robin Uthappa early in the innings after his highest IPL score. Moeen Ali’s off form continues. He got out at the score of 32 for 2 within the sixth over.
Ruturaj who just scored 35 in five matches before this and Rayudu rebuilt the inning by trying to find a classic CSK acceleration within the last 10 overs.
Excluding these two, none of the CSK batters could capitalize on their start as Chennai Super Kings finishes at the score of 169 at the end of the 20th over.
Only Ravindra Jadeja uses short leg boundary to take 18 off Ferguson in the last over, giving Kings a competitive total
Two wickets in two overs put GT in huge trouble
Coming in for chase, GT gets off with a disaster start as they are informed better Subhuman gill got out in very fast over. GT we’re trying to just recover from their sudden damage but their trouble extended with Vijay Shankar also going for a duck in the second over.
“Killer Miller” back with a bang
Miller, on the other hand, appeared to be on a different pitch than the one on which practically everyone had sweated with timing in the previous 12 overs. Miller smashed a straight four and a six in the ninth and eleventh overs, despite Moeen Ali gaining grip and turning away from the bat.
He got off to a good start in the twelfth, taking out Jadeja, who twisted the ball into him and hammered him for two sixes and a four. Miller had scored 52 of just 29 balls out of 87 of 4 into overs
Captain Rashid hammers hard
In the 18th over Rashid scores 25 runs, he filled in for ailing Hardik Pandya as captain, hammered three sixes and a four off Chris Jordan. After Rashid’s 21-ball blitz, Miller finishes the job by hitting 13 runs in Jordan’s final over.
The last over drama
Miller blasted a six after two dot balls and was caught at the short third man only to have the delivery declared no-ball for a height. In the very next ball, he smashes a four and a double to finish the match. In his 51 ball innings, he had, eight fours and six sixes
Points table scenario
Gujarat Titans, one of the two new franchises in the expanded ten-team IPL have maintained their lead with five wins in six matches. If we talk about Chennai Super King’s current points table situation that y have won only one match in their last six games. That forces them to stay in the ninth position.
